Data we collect
You do not need an account to browse destinations, compare plans or read guides. We do not sell eSIMs and we do not ask for payment details on this site.
If you email us, we process the address and the content of your message, plus technical metadata (such as date and, when provided by your mail client, IP or user agent) so we can answer and limit abuse.
- No customer account is required to use the catalog.
- Currency preference is stored locally in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
- Language is chosen from the URL (English or French), not from a tracking profile.
Cookies and similar storage
The site uses strictly useful technical storage so the interface works (for example your currency choice and your cookie preference). Optional audience cookies are deposited only after you accept them in the cookie banner.
You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer, or clear local storage and cookies from your browser. See the Cookies page for browser-by-browser steps.
Audience measurement
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, United States) to measure visits, popular pages and how the catalog is used. The Google tag is present on the page so your choice can be applied, but measurement cookies and analytics hits stay off if you refuse or ignore the banner.
This processing is based on consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a). Google may process technical data such as a truncated IP address, a client identifier, the page viewed and the browser language. We disable Google advertising signals and do not sell personal data.
Consent is stored locally for about 6 months, then we ask again. You can withdraw it at any time from Cookie settings.
Embedded and partner content
Pages may include logos, outbound checkout links and, occasionally, embedded third-party content. Those partners behave as if you visited their site: they may set their own cookies and process data under their own policies once you leave eSIM Comparator.
Retention
Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the request, then archived for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required to establish or defend a legal claim.
Local currency preference stays on your device until you clear it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure or objection regarding personal data that concerns you.
To exercise these rights, write to hello@esimcomparator.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
